Tell us about your act in 100 words or less…:

My name is Laura Divers and I am 13 years old. I've been playing guitar for 4 years and i love it! I started playing after i asked the lead guitarist (without my mum knowing) in the local church group for guitar lessons. I'd practise with him every Sunday morning for about 6 months. In 2008 I was persuaded to enter the 'Maryhill's Got Talent' competition and i was lucky enough to win 1st prize. Part of the prize was a day out to a recording studio and now i love the whole concept of music, which i practise inside and outside of school. I'm now more confident performing in front of larger audiences and i'd love the chance to make them even bigger!

Tell us in 50 words or less why your act should play ‘City Sounds:

I'd love to play in City Sounds! The idea of it is just amazing and what follows after it! I feel music is a massive part of my life and this could help me on my way to hopefully what i'd like to think would be a successful career for me.
